About the Park
Ohori Park is one of the most beautiful parks in Japan. It is a central city park in Fukuoka with a lake in the center. Citizens and tourists alike enjoy strolling and jogging around the walking trail which spans approximately 2 kilometres.
History
Ohori means "trench" in Japanese and was constructed utilising the outer moat of nearby Fukuoka Castle. It is modelled on the West Lake of China and opened in 1929.
Within the park's grounds is a Japanese garden, Noh Theatre and Art Museum.
